With books like Omnivore's Delima, we know more and more people who are going Vegan. A challenge for Vegans is that when they hit the rode and are away from the kitchens and local vegan dining spots, they need to research where they are going to eat.Vegan World Trekker fills a need by profiling vegan dining spots at travel distinations around the world.
The site is published by Maria Giurcan, who says that she became a vegetarian at age 8 and became vegan in 2002. Maria writes articles about vegan travel for a number of other sites but this is the mothership.
The site has information on vegan dining worldwide, airport and airline food options, vegan travel guides, vegan accommodations and trips, vegan clothing, and vegan travel gear. The site also includes blog posts (and photos) regarding sightseeing and vegan meals that Maria has found in those destinations."
